Season 1, Episode 6: Gary Ringger

In this episode, Jami chats with her dad, Gary Ringger.  Gary shares his journey from young business man looking to achieve “the American dream” to now serving as an advocate for the orphaned and vulnerable child as President of Lifesong for Orphans.  You will see first hand how God can take our weaknesses and use them for His glory!  Listen in as Jami and Gary share memories, laughter and even a few tears in this very special episode.

In this episode, you’ll discover…

• How a very unique vow changed one man’s life and the lives of so many others.
• The difference prayer can make in your life when it becomes less of a discipline and more of a relationship.
• The importance of being ‘real’ and transparent with your kids.

…at that point, the American dream and retiring by 40 meant nothing to me.  I just wanted my life back.

Meet our Guest!

garyGary Ringger has served as founder and president of Lifesong for Orphans since its beginning in 2002 and is passionate about bringing joy and purpose to orphans. With his business background, he has enjoyed helping in the development of sustainable business opportunities for many of Lifesong’s orphan care initiatives.

Prior to Lifesong’s inception, Gary made a simple vow to further God’s kingdom while in the midst of a struggling business. God used this, with many divine encounters, to begin what is now Lifesong for Orphans.

Gary has been married to his wife, Marla, since 1977 and they are blessed to be the grandparents to 13 beautiful grandchildren (7 by adoption).
