Colquitt County TFI | Ways to be Involved

People often ask us how they can be involved with The Forgotten Initiative. As we’ve traveled around to speak at different churches in the area, we made a card with an outline of ways to get involved. Below is our ongoing list of how to be involved with Colquitt County TFI:

Foster:

Promote family and encourage the development of children via temporary placement in your home

  • For more information on fostering, call: 1-877-210-KIDS
  • Ripple Effect: Meet others who are changing our community for world impact through foster care and adoption.

Respite: 

Provide a short period of rest and relief to a foster family via overnight child care in your home

  • (personally connect with a foster family to provide extra support)

Adopt:

Open your home and provide family permanently to a child

Mentor:

Invest in and encourage a child on a regular basis

Child Care:

Commit to love and care for a child for a few hours

  • (personally connect with a foster family to provide extra support)

Host:

Hold a TFI event or drive at your church, home, or small group

Volunteer:

Give your time and/or talents or form a support group

Donate:

Meet the needs of others through furniture, clothing, etc.

Sponsor:

Give financially toward those with less
