For our Fall Project, we would like to help our local DHS office by gathering items for Caseworker Car Kits. What is a Car Kit?  Many times DHS workers are required to transport kiddos to visits with birth families, medical appointments, and court hearings.  Sometimes they have to travel many miles to get these children to these appointments.  Car kits help the hours go by a little faster for the kids in their care. We are currently working on filling Journey Bags.  Our storage space is limited here at our local DHS office so we are doing them a little differently.  We have the bags already donated by a local church body so we need the following items to go in them: Coloring books, colored pencils, small games, small stuffed animal, socks, underwear, small toys, toothbrush, and toothpaste.  We need bags for all ages both boys and girls.  If your group would like to collect items to fill these bags please contact me.
