The Forgotten Initiative mobilizes the Body of Christ to come alongside the foster care community in three primary ways:
- Service Projects – Providing tangible items needed by the foster care community and renovating/re-decorating space in an agency room or family’s home.
- Mentoring – Providing training and support for mentoring relationships such as tutoring, job/life skill training and relationship building, as well as starting mentoring programs.
- Family Support – Providing foster and at-risk families a connection to the Body of Christ for support, care and encouragement.
Each program is built on experience and comes with step-by-step guides that make the initiatives easier to implement. Specific details about each of these initiatives is available to Advocates.
